Overview
About Me
I was born in Southern California, raised in Idaho, and have been in Northern California (the Napa Valley) for five years, four of which were for college. I have my B.S. in Psychology and hope to someday go to graduate school and do animal-assisted therapy for neglected or abused kids OR do international trauma psychology. I am happiest around animals and compassionate people. I have a huge, sensitive heart and do my best to ease the suffering in this world. My life goal is to help people by showing them that they are loved. I also hope to own a cabin surrounded by pine trees and filled with rescue animals. Currently single. Not particularly ready to mingle, per say. I fall in love with life and adventure easily. I love when I find people I click with and can be myself with. I love to joke around and be silly and I LOVE quick-witted, funny people. I am not a partier but do enjoy a good time over drinks and music.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a passion to travel and meet others who have traveled and who can teach me something. Traveling is my preferred method of learning and I never want to stop. Hoping to meet some amazing people along the way and maybe those people can stay with me later on in the Napa Valley!
Interests
I love nature and am lost without it. I love spending time outdoors as often as possible: hiking, camping, boating, fishing, exploring, canoeing, just sitting, etc. I love animals. They make more sense to me than people sometimes. I love horse-back riding, volunteering at animal shelters, whale-watching, etc. My other hobbies include gardening, cooking, painting, playing video games, traveling, art museums, culture, live music, drinking craft beer, great coffee, and eating new foods. I am a thrill seeker who loves to be pushed to my limit. I want to sky dive, bungee jump, climb along a sketchy ledge, swim with sharks, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love almost all music... but especially folk, indie folk, blues, electronic, 40's & 50's, 90's, etc. Music I listen to the most include Avett Brothers, Mumford and Sons, Civil Wars, Lumineers, Joe Purdy, Hoizer, Sam Smith. Also love Macklemore, Deadmau5, etc.
I have a knack for reading informational books instead of fiction. I love reading everything by the Dalai Lama, philosophy, books on the human brain, cultural books, etc. Favorite novel is Water for Elephants.
I love watching movies. But there are way too many I haven't seen. I love Quinton Tarantino films. True art.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swam with wild dolphins in the Amazon River! And most recently, ridden into the sunset through Tuscany on a 1960 Vespa.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach anyone English if I'm abroad! I can take care of your kids, as I think that kids are the best thing ever and I've been taking care of them for years.
I want to learn more Spanish and Romanian. And I want to learn EVERYTHING that you are willing to teach me!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can be a really fun adventure buddy; I can bring you cool souvenirs from the Napa Valley (a real branch clipping from famous wineries perhaps?); Napa Valley chocolate or signed wine bottles. Whatever you want from here I can bring you!
