Hi!

I'm a friendly Kiwi currently traveling Eastern Europe solo.
In another life I was a journalist (still doing some freelance work, mostly travel writing) and am 26yo.
I travel a lot because I truly love it, and I find it incredibly hard to sit still!! (blessing and a curse!) I lived in Japan for a year learning Japanese, have done an internship in Jakarta - and spent six months road tripping around South America, the United States and Canada most recently. My favourite trip so far is probably a stint in India and Nepal though!
Enjoy getting out in the great outdoors, meeting some new friendly faces, and exploring everything I possibly can about a new culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We don't know much about this side of the world so we are super keen to meet some locals who can show us how it's done!
While hostels can be fun and a good way to meet new people, I think nothing beats actually staying with people who live in the city you are visiting.

After all, then when you come to New Zealand I can repay the favour!!

Interests

I'm a really active person who feels most at home in the mountains or doing something crazy/ adventurous. Love skiing and being around the snow. Love hiking and running.

I do a lot of writing, and photography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are too many to count! My favourite experiences so far have to be trekking in Nepal, the Inca Trail in Peru, and then climbing Mt Fuji during the night to watch the sunrise was pretty amazing too. That list will likely change in the next few months...

Whatever I possibly can! I'll try to provide some good laughs and banter, and I'm always up for a beer or to help with whatever you need around the house :)
