About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet as many people as I can(man, this sounds so cheesy! but its true) and be as nice and as cool as I can!!

ABOUT ME

I am no where near perfect. I eat when I am bored, sad, happy or plain hungry. I'm vulnerable to believing lies. I have best friends and worst enemies. I have Drama and Memories. I am a Red devil, a die-hard Manchester United fan. I think Doctor Who is the best thing that happened to television, and that Batman can kick any superhero's ass because he is Batman. I am old enough to not believe in cartoons but I still watch them. I am mature when needed but not always. I am childish enough to embarrass people. And I am never sure if people are laughing with me or at me. I am a Taurus, with all the thrills, frills, shenanigans and stubbornness associated with them. I am happy with the little things in life. I get excited by even the smallest things. A good cup of coffee, a child's innocent smile, a simple sandwich. I am what I am and I am happy with that.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others as you would like others to treat you, no point in being snotty and uptight. Life is beautiful, live it, enjoy it with all its colors and complexities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wanted to host when I was back in India, but couchsurfing was not as big then as it is now. As of now I am a resident at Orange Acres Montana Couchsurfing Community Centre. I help run the place and keep everything in order. Orange Acres is a Traveler, Artist, and Nerd Commune with a Garden/Farm and car dealership. We host friends who want to make friends!!

We are 18 miles north from Missoula all highway, easy to find, but still in Missoula county, right on HWY 93 North at mile marker 13 behind orange cars.

We are an hour or less from 7 different lakes,4 rivers, the Nation bison range, fish hatchery, hiking and camping, and 3-4 hours from Glacier Park and 6 hours from Yellowstone National Park.

We are 10 minutes from the EWAM Garden of a 1000 Buddhas.

Orange Acres is a CouchSurfing Community Center, The Orange Dharma Station

We welcome people of all races, sexual orientation, faiths here. We host people from couchsurfing.com, warmshowers.org, workaway and WOOFing. Guests that stay longer then one day we ask to volunteer 1-3 hours a day in exchange for their accommodations. Mostly people help cook, clean, garden and lawn maintenance and make the place better for other guests.

ORANGE ACRES IS DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE on site, but there are lots of bars around missoula you can go party at, just do not drive back drunk.
We have a guest bathroom/shower and laundry, a large community room with wi-fi, a guest computer, keyboard, guitars and amp, TV DVD and VHS, cards and board games, and kitchen for cooking your own food.

There will likely be other couchsurfers here.

Outside we beautiful views. We also have a campfire pit, horseshoe pit sometimes wee might break out the above ground pool, or you can take a dip in the creek. Come help me feed chickens, sheep, rabbits, dogs and cats!

Bring your food and beverage. Our kitchen has some plates and pans, a toaster oven, rice maker, microwave, sink, fridge, BBQ and stove/oven. We also have a free food pantry if you have no money or just forgot to get something from town.

If your starving usually we are happy to find you something to eat too,

If your a person that spends all their money on beer and drugs and then want someone else to be responsible for their place to live and food to eat, we are not for you. But if you want to help out we are glad to feed you.

We may also be able to come pick you up in Missoula if you don'€™t have a car!

We can put with anyone for 3 days. If we like you, we may invite you to stay up to 20 days, If you pull your weight we might keep you for 6 months, maybe longer. But we cant make you any promises until we have had you here.

I live with 3 dogs, 2 sheep , rabbits, 18 chickens. Women are very safe here. We are very nice people who don't drink or use drugs.

Dogs and children are welcome on a leash .

****if you are requesting on the day you wish to arrive, have no pets, 3 positive references, no negative references, and have been a member of couchsurfing for at least 6 months, you are more than likely approved. Please send a REQUEST on cs. If you are new to cs and do not have 3 positive references, are traveling with pets, or have not been a member for at least 6 months then you must send a request and get approval first. You may have to fill out an application which you can request from OADharmaStation@hotmail.com, if you are brand new to couchsurfing or do not have a facebook profile. *****

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Music, Movies, and Books

Big fan of Bollywood movies! Humor and fiction is what I enjoy most. And I love music, all types of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saved a little girl once from an oncoming car, not really in a heroic way, but still, for a split second I was Batman! And been to 5 hikes in Himalayas, the most surreal experiences of my life, so far. And on a very personal achievement level, I lost 60 pounds over the past year. That is amazing enough for me!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a mechanical engineer, thats one thing I have always been somewhat good at. And I am a blank book, ready to learn new things, and share new experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Life has been a roller-coaster since coming to USA over the past 4 years. Schooling, job, then no job and then schooling again. I have met some interesting people on the way. Some good, some I wish I had never met. And I have traveled a bit, both here in USA and in India. I can give you a first-hand account of how to live , travel and eat in India, the dos and donts. I can tell you places to go around in Montana and in India. Above all, I hope to share with you a few moments of warm friendliness.
