About Me

I'm on a quest for knowledge and peace

I'm an Aberystwyth University graduate that migrated to the land of the rising sun to work as a sensei in Tokyo-to and Chiba-ken. After a couple of years I returned to blighty, purchased an automobile, and drove southward for three days (almost non-stop) until I reached Alicante. After another year teaching in Spain I decided to return to study Molecular Microbiology in Nottingham. It really was a great Masters course and after I graduated I found an interesting PhD in Aberytywth. It has been a year now since I graduated and I'm now looking for work as a Post-Doc or Researcher.

Some quotes I thought I'd keep here from my old profile:
"So in everything, do unto others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."
"Do not do to others what you would not want others to do to you." -Confucius
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing" -saying of obscure origin

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have been an active member of Alicante, Nottingham and Birmingham CS groups. This involved non-stop hosting of multiple groups and travelers during a summer in Spain, participating in weekend trips around the English countryside, and partaking in serious partying. It has been a while since I used CS and I have seen many people leave. I would now like to see how CS has changed and discover new CS communities on my travels.

Interests

Investigative Journalism, Science Fiction and Fantasy, Post-apocalyptic or Dystopian-themed films and stories. P.K.Dick is an excellent sci-fi author and Japanese horror films are uber-scary.

yum food like fresh sushi and homemade tortilla espanol.

Getting lost in books, lost in woods, making observational trips to town and exploring the environment.
