About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Our current mission is to go travel all over the word with no reservations. We want to get out and meet as many people and learn as much about other cultures as possible.

ABOUT ME

Check us out at aztraveling.com and follow us on our journey around the world!

Ashley:
I am 29yrs old and grew up in Washington State. I graduated from the University of Washington Department of Architecture in 2007. I just quit my corporate job to travel the world with my amazing girlfriend for as long as we can. As far as languages goes I speak American English and basic/beginner Spanish/Italian.

Zoe:
As far as languages goes I speak fluent Korean and American English and I also speak basic Japanese. I grew up my whole life in Seoul, South Korea until I moved to America when i was 16 to pursue an American education. My passion in life is theatre-acting, art history, documentaries, photography, classical material (ancient roman & greek), cultural anthropology, local cuisine and traveling. I would love to meet as many people as possible during our adventure to learn more about the different cultures and lifestyles all over the world.

****
We are both very open-minded in trying new things, outgoing and love to stay active through hiking, biking and walking everywhere. We are both non-smokers and we bring our sleeping bags with us. We love to experience different cultures through food, dining together with our hosts and meeting as many locals as possible. We are respectful of other's space, schedule, belief and lifestyle. Due to our tight budget, we are not able to do much that are costly such as taking public transportation everywhere, going out every night or eating in restaurants but we enjoy our travels through making new friends, walking around the town and seeing as much as we can. We believe there is something to be learned from everyone we meet. We are also interested in volunteer work and hope to get involved with organizations all over the world as we travel.

Our goal is to travel for as long as we can, hopefully for a few years, until our money runs out!

We would love to see how much of the world we could travel through couchsurfing and hitchhiking!

PHILOSOPHY

Ashley: Life is what you make of it!
Positive Attitude, Positive Direction, Positive Space!

Zoe: Travel the world, spontaneously, fearlessly and frequently.

Teach, Learn, Share

North Korea and South Korea are two different countries. No, I am not from North Korea, if I was, I would already be dead. Crossing the border from one to another is illegal as North Korea is a closed country and they will shoot at you if you tried. Nobody gets in and nobody gets out of North Korea.

I say this because people ask me ALL the time which Korea I am from.
