About Me
CURRENT MISSION
travel, explore, venture out, diversify, learn...
ABOUT ME
I love to cook and dress up in costumes...not at the same time. I am very outgoing and am usually a happy person...unless you catch me on an off day grrr. Meeting new people, testing new limits and experiencing different cultures is my favorite thing ever, thus I travel as much as I can and am happy to host when home. I love that know-your-neighbor type of small town, big lively cities and empty wildernesses. I am a super-active busy girl, when I am not traveling I am working so I can travel. When I am not working or traveling I play sports, explore the outdoors and find random creative crafty things to occupy my time. I'd say I am pretty fun and spunky, always down for an adventure.
PHILOSOPHY
ask not for an easier life, but to be a stronger person.
Life is a book and if you don't travel, you are only reading a chapter
"If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid" -Albert Eistien
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Since I started surfing couches, I have found it is the only way to travel! Just got a place in South Lake Tahoe which I am very excited to both experience and share. There are a thousand fun things to see and do. I highly recommend checking the area out if you are making your way all the way to California!
I am spreading the word that couch surfing is the best way to see and experience any new place.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My couch surfing started more as couch crashing while in college. I joined the CouchSurfing project in 07 and since then have surfed during all my travels!

Interests
Playing any and all sports: team sports, individual sports, extreme sports. All climbing and anything from back country hiking to dodge ball, volleyball to snowboarding, innertube water polo to skateboarding and surfing, sky diving to scuba diving. Snowboarding, backcountry hiking, rock climbing and volleyball are my favorites, also got a couple triathlons and half marathons under my belt.
I also dig the crafts: sewing (mostly costumes), baking, knitting, cooking, gardening, etc.
I love dancing and going out on the town with friends.
Nothing better than laying in a hammock reading a good book.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: underground music and small town undiscovered bands that haven't hit the main stream yet. Anything that sounds good live, especially if they are playing at the Fillmore! Brandi Carlile, Gomez, The Silent Comedy, Sarah Bareilles, Bret Dennen, Yonder Mountain, Lorie McKenna.
Books: Anything by Bill Bryson and Barbera Kingsolver. Million Little Pieces and My Friend Leonard, Scar Tissue, Memoirs of a Geisha, Tuesdays with Morrie, Freakonomics, Mermaid Chair, Mercy of Thin Air... this could go on and on...
Movies: anything that leaves you thinking about it days later.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Met President Clinton, he is a chicky bum looker!
tried skydiving...got motion sickness once the chute opened. Now I know.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you are coming to California... skip LA and Hollywood they are a dirty crowded waste of time. Check out San Diego (PB and La Jolla) to get the real SoCal fun beachy vibe, check out San Fransisco to experience a very unique big city and Santa Cruise or San Louis Obispo to get a more northern-California beach experience.
But California has more to offer than just beaches and big cities, like mountians and snow (and great winter sports), forests and rivers(white water rafting)!
Tahoe is amazing year-round
California has everything from warm sunny beaches to cold snow-capped mountains, big cities to small towns nestled in miles of fertile farmland, the biggest trees in the world to endless deserts. So if you come to California, plan to spend some extra time and see everything we have to offer!
To get a real feel for all the nature Ca has to offer, try national park hopping.
