Honestly I have always hated these questions, I feel like the object is to sell myself, which I feel funny about. I'll say that I hope that I'm growing til the day I die, always open to lessons waiting to be learned, felt and lived, never stagnant, at least not for too long anyway.

PHILOSOPHY

I belive there's always more then one way to think, to live life, and to be in general. I don't belive there's only one way for anything. So I try to be open to ideas and new ways of life to find out what works best for me. I try not to forget that what works best for me doesn't always work best for someone else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Up til really recently I've pretty much been too busy to be involved much, but things are changing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went on my first over seas trip about 2 years ago with my first couch surfing experiences, it was amazing. I couch surfed for about half the trip and did the hostel thing the other half. I realized the places I enjoyed most were the places that I couch surfed at. I feel that you get to know people on a different level, and it's awesome having a local experience in a foreign place. I met some really amazing people on that trip through couch surfing, whether it be the host, or friends of, or other people couch surfing the same time.
Just got back from a 2 month trip to Israel and Jordan and couch surfed about half the time, the other half stayed with friends.

Interests

I'm sorta an old lady in ways, I love to sew, crochet, and knit, as well as read. I'm dabbling in Herbalism, and finally feel like I've found something that completely resonates with me. I love hiking, camping and find that being in nature brings on a peace like no other. I love going to art galleries and history and science museums. I love to explore the nocks and crannies in cities and towns. I love music and absolutely love to dance.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most typs of music, but I love to dance, so anything with a good beat to it Electronic, Reggae, Blue Grass, Samba, Afro-funk.
I can't say that I watch many movies, although I did just see MILK and that was great.
I read as often as I can, I go through phases where I can read 2-3 books in a month and then times when I have so much else going on that it can take me 2-3 months to read a book. I just read The Lemon Tree, finally read 1984, Ishi the Last Warrior, The Kitrunner, and am trying to finish the Prince. I just was on a trip so had some time to read. I'm always going back anf forth studying my different Herb bookds. Before my trip I finished Confessions of an Economic Hit Man and this amazing book called The Alphabet vs the Goddess.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can honestly say that I see something amazing almost every day. An oasis in the desert, ruins that are thousands of years old, kindness to a complete stranger, human interaction in general, the wind going through a deciduous forest, which is as much about the sound as it is the sight of dancing leaves.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a few plants and some of their uses. I could teach you how to make herbal infused oils, which you could turn around and make a salve, message oil, or lotion. I could show you how to make tinctures, glycerites, or herbal vinegars.
