About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, connect, love, experience, and always go towards what I fear...

ABOUT ME

I was born in Natchez, Mississippi to a preacher man and a preacher's daughter. I lived in the South for 20 years of my life before moving to my dream state, Colorado. I fell in love with Colorado on a vacation as soon as I looked up at the sky in the middle of the night and was completely enamored by the Milky Way. I was hooked. I KNEW I had to be in Colorado no matter what. The South certainly showed much hospitality, but I'm a mountain girl by heart! My soul told me where it wanted to be. Lucky enough, my preacher daddy hung up his cross and decided to do some soul searching of his own on his spiritual path in Salida, Colorado! I joined him when I was 20 years old, and that's when I really started and still am deeply exploring the gullys, crevices, and peaks of Colorado and my soul. I have met so many truly amazing and unique people along my path and am excited to continue with making new connections. I now live in a town, Steamboat Springs, where the sense of community vibrates very strongly. I know how important that is now that I've experienced it. I look forward to discovering many more communities of wonderful people, laughing as much as possible, and practicing unconditional love with myself and others.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy...I think I'm still discovering that. So far, I try to practice loving and respecting myself so that I may treat others the same. This isn't always easy, but I still try. I find great importance in awareness of how we all mirror each other and tend to create illusions of "how life should be." Yet, if more people have this awareness then it creates the realization that we are all SO MUCH ALIKE and connected. Knowing that creates so much more possibilities to grow as caring human beings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Building even bigger communities! Sharing life with others...continuously discovering how connected we really are and overcoming bubble mentality. We can still be individuals, but it's much less lonely being our unique selves together by sharing all of our wonderful qualities with each other. LOVE ALWAYS...certainly makes life easier.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first CS experience was staying with four fun and crazy guys in Naples, Italy. I also stayed with someone in Rome, Italy. I have only had the pleasure of hosting one woman from Scotland, and we had great fun! I look forward to many more experiences!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rafted the Grand Canyon for 20 days. The waiting list is 10 years, and I lucked out by knowing some great friends who invited me. I was completely and utterly euphoric with this majestic canyon. This trip I will never forget and will always be thankful for doing. All my travels have been special in their own way, but this one was so different. I learned that simplicity and spirituality can all be rendered with nature. There is magic in this canyon, and anyone's life can change with the experience if one is open to it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach people that self-love and respect are possible, no matter what a person's upbringing is. This love is exuded onto every person that comes in contact with you. It's the most healing and most EGO detaching. I am also in the process of learning this because my human conditioning still surfaces. Sharing laughter, love, connection, information, and warmth is what I strive to do.
