About Me

Graduated as B.E. in Electronics, I was sitting in an A.C. cubicle for almost 10.5 years working as a software engineer. But I always felt something was missing in life. Before getting into the job, I have been to hills of Sahyadris. And openess and freedom of the nature never allowed me to settle in the comforts of the chair. I have travelled to countries like U.K and France and after coming back I realized how less I know my own country. In clash of these two thoughts (money vs time), I finally decided to call off the job to fulfill my dream to get aound the country. Now I travel across the country, explore the less known areas and enjoy the nature.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travel, Travel and Travel.
I have been fortunate to know the difference between Tourist and a Traveler. In most of my travels I prefer homestays rathar than staying at hotel. If you want to know about the place, feel it, understand its culture and people, locals are the best people to stay and interact with. This is the best platform for any traveler.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In October 2010, I was down with cervical spondylosis. I was on bed for almost 2 months. Gradually I was able to walk and carrry-on my activities but travel was out of question. There is no cure to such deformations and all you can do is to get back to strength through physiotherapy or yoga. I started practicing yoga with the determination to get back into the travel. It took me two years to recover my strength when I made my first travel to Ladakh. After that it was no looking back.
Back in 2010 I was wondering if I would be able to go out for travel, Today I am happy to hit the road again. Since 2012, I have make 3 road trips to Rajasthan (5000 km), to Kanyakumari (3200 km) and Ladakh (2500 km). Along with this I have complete 15 odd treks in Sahyadri in 2013-14. I have also been to some photography expiditions as well including Bharatpur and Ladakh.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a car of my own. I can meet up at any decided location and can take guests for ride in and around the city. My car can accomodate two (couple) for three guests.I have explored some amazing locations around Pune within 200 km. The choice, obviously depends of the type of guests :)
