About Me
You can find me on Instagram or follow my travels @ashleawix :D
I'm coming to the end of move number six and am planning my great central to South American adventure!
I hope to continue hopping around the world for as long as I can get away with it while meeting, greeting and being influenced by the incredible people, places and stories from along the way. - I'm on a mission to see all 198 countries before I'm 30.
Though I'm currently unable to host if and when I move back to Australia - I’m happy to return the favour.
ABOUT ME
Hey there, So I'm an Aussie girl, from the wonderful city of Sydney!
One of the best things I've done so far was pack up my life & begin boucning and working my way around the globe.
I was lucky enough to have avid-travelers as parents, so I was bitten with the travel bug pretty early on in life! That desire only burns brighter the more places I go, the people I meet & the more stories I share, hear and create with others along the way.
I'm easy going, down to earth & just looking to make the most of this whole life thing we're all lucky enough to be sharing!
I hope to experience life from each, every and all varied culture, one country at a time. If I could spend the rest of my life living out of a suitcase, hopping around the globe, I'd certainly be one happy little vegemite!
PHILOSOPHY
To live is the rarest thing in the world,
Most people but exist and that is all.
-Oscar Wilde
Kid; You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go..
-Dr Seuss
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I remember the day a friend introduced me to couchsurfing. "You mean to tell me I can crash on peoples couches, for free!? What a great financial stress that takes away" What a wonderful thought that first was, and how very wrong that ended up being. After many years in hotels, hostels, wild camping & couchsurfing I've come to see that couchsurfing is just so much more than free accommodation. Hoenstly, with all the money in the world I'd still vote hitting up a cs host & staying with a local.
When you come to realise couchsurfing is so much more than a free bed for the night I think the doors to global friendships and your overall experience while visiting another city or country just becomes far more meaningful and a bucketload richer. What an amazing time we live in to be able to hit send on a button that opens international doors! Doors full of global friends, local knowledge and stories and memories waiting to be shared and experienced. We really are very lucky to have all these possibilities right at our fingertips, so use it! Use it, don't abuse it, be grateful and get out there enjoying every little bit of it! :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living on a tiny little island in the middle of the Indian Ocean in Maldives.
- What a place to call home! Surrounded by dolphins, manta ray, sting ray, and all the fishy colours of the incredible crystal blue sea.
Hitchhiking through Croatia. I don't have words to express the hospitality, kindness and genuine people I was met with along the way. What a magical, magical trip that was!
