Overview
About Me
I am an anthropology student and huge science fanatic! I am pursuing an education to one day work in Eastern Europe to dig for and catalogue paleo-human fossils, expanding our knowledge on our extinct hominid family. For fun, I am huge on bouldering and hiking. I’m lucky enough to live within a few hours drive of the Appalachian Trail, so neither are ever very far!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I learned about Couchsurfing while dating my husband, and always tagged along with him on requests he made. I figure now is as good a time as any to jump in and create my own account! I have loved every experience I've had through CS, and I'm excited to meet even more folks through this.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm not huge on movies or television, but Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amelie Poulain is my favorite film of all time! It's such an eclectic piece of work. As for music, I enjoy most genres but especially love bluegrass and indie rock. My favorite live musical experience has been seeing Trampled by Turtles play live... in a cave! One of my favorite reads is an ethnography that was assigned to me in college: The Empty Seashell by Nils Bubandt. It really opens up the realm of ethnography as a whole, forcing the reader to completely rethink how they interpret indigenous knowledge and customs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my senior year in college, I helped to curate a museum exhibit showcasing the history of The Battle of the Flowers in San Antonio.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to help with household chores or errands during my stay. Helping hands are busy hands, and I love to stay busy! I’m also not too shabby of a chef, so I’d be more than happy to cook something up.
