ABOUT ME: I am an avid supporter of sustainable tourism and share my adventures and experiences on my blog, theheritagetravels.com.

I love love love cultural and natural heritage. I'm an advocate for the environment and human rights. I tend to avoid talking about politics because it usually ends in heated discussions and anxiety.

I have two significant chronic illnesses; Hashimotos & Fibromyalgia. This comes with a long list of symptoms that never seems to end. Long story short, I am on a mission to tell my body that it does not control my dreams & attitude to life (even though some days it does get the better of me). Positivity is key.

Music soothes my soul. If there was only one thing in this world that I could have, it would be access to music. Books would be the second.

I love getting lost; that is when the fun starts. To me, travel is life. Meeting new people, experiencing other cultures first hand, learning about people & cities & countries, and then sharing those experiences with others is what life is about. It's so important to help open up the eyes of others to cultural diversity and respect. So many things would change if we just respected one another.

I am on couchsurfing because I want to experience other cities and countries through the eyes of a local. I want to know where you think I should go to get the best experience possible & I would love to try some authentic home cooking. I want to not only experience your city, but also what makes it special to you.

I am sharing my home because I are extremely passionate about everyone being able to experience our beautiful world in a unique & authentic way. I want to treat you to our culture and our life, and show you what living in "the bush" means to us.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've stood at the entrance of Angkor Wat as the sun rose, drank cocktails as the sun sets over Tanah Lot, bathed an Asian Elephant, driven through Southeast Asia, climbed to the top of a mountain in Italy, ate gelato in front of the Colosseum and so much more...but nothing beats spending all of my spare time watching my nephew grow and learn, and seeing him witness and experience everything in life for the very first time.
