Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A few months ago I set out on an adventure and did something I had only dreamed about doing before, I gave up my job, my flat, my car and moved across the world to China to teach English. This experience has given me the motivation and need to explore more of the world and meet more people. So here I am a newly made couchsurfer!

Interests

I love everything arty! I invest a lot of time in film, photography, painting, and sculpture. I also spend a good deal of time reading graphic novels (Judge Dredd and Deadpool being my favourite)and playing video games (Fallout 3 and most things Bethesda create being my loves).

I love nothing more than having a few drinks with good people, playing games (video, board games or card games (especially if its magic the gathering) whilst listening to awesome music. Awesome music consists of David Bowie, Gangstagrass, Billie Holiday, The Birthday Massacre, Tom waits...the list could go on and on as I have a very varied taste in music.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movies are 1970s-80s fantasies like Labyrinth, The neverending story, Legend and The dark crystal. These films provide real intelligent magic and illusions, true fantasy not ruined by over reliance on CGI.

As I have mentioned above I love to read graphic novels some of the ones that interest me most are; Judge Dredd, Deadpool, Sweet Tooth, Y the last man, Mouse Guard, Transmetropolitan, JTHM, Squee. I very much adore reading about Egyptian myths too, they are, to me, epic fantasy stories.
