Overview
About Me
Im pretty laid back and likes to go with the flow. Full time work and full time study, I love meeting new people and travelling, and try to get away 1 - 2 times a year... though that has gotten a little more difficult since starting this degree.
I love AFL and watching sport, love the beach, backyard cricket, snowboarding, camping and roadtrips and new experiences - I will pretty much give anything a go once. I enjoy going out for a beverage and a dance (though admittedly, im a terrible dancer) and am a big foodie and chocolate enthusiast.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Im lucky enough to have quite a few family members and friends around the world so they have always been great with setting me up with accomodation, or their friends in different places. I certainly dont know someone in every city and thought Couchsurfing would be a great option for my upcoming trip to the States and Canada.
Some of my favourite experiences travelling have been when i have met and stayed with locals, rather than living out of a hostel and travelling off lonely planet recommendations - so am hoping to find some cool people to hang out with while im passing through!
Music, Movies, and Books
Currently travelling abroad so not able to accept any guests!
I bloody love movies - action, comedy, chick flicks, drama, foreign subtitled everything.. just a bit of a sook when it comes to scary movies - so you might find me watching parts of those from under a blanket and behind a pillow.
I love everything from Kendrick, to Beyonce, the Weeknd, Jason Aldean & Kip Moore, old school rock and just about everything in betwteen. I draw the line at heavy metal where they scream so much that i cant work out the words. But if that's your style, I can totally bring earplugs.
Favourite Books: Marching Powder, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Alchemist
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently spent a week and a half volunteering to help provide fresh water, power and safety to a Womens Refuge, School and Deaf and Mute Orphanage in the Solomon Islands.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company and good humour, guaranteed to laugh at jokes regardless of how terrible.
Happy to return the couchsurfing favour if you ever want to visit Canberra, Australia... though its probably a better stopover between Sydney and Melbourne, than a tourist destination.
Countries I’ve Visited
Albania, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, United States, Vanuatu
