About Me
ABOUT ME
After spending a few months traveling the world solo in 2011, I got hooked! I now spend a borderline unhealthy amount of time scouring flight deals and dreaming of my next adventure. I have loved all of my CouchSurfing experiences and remain in touch (at times I get lucky enough to return) with a number of the friends I made through here. At home I spend time playing soccer, participating in the arts (theatre, dance, and voice), spending time with friends, and taking too many pictures of my fur baby (but seriously....how can you not?). My full time job is providing mental health services to inmates in our county jail, which is fulfilling, but can take a LOT of energy (thus the ongoing desire for escape via travel).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
While I have gained valuable experiences and insight into different countries and cultures regardless of my accommodations, my Couchsurfing hosts/experiences have by far been the best. Whether or not I end up spending a great deal of time with my hosts, they have always helped me get that insider viewpoint/tip/suggestion for their home cities, and all the research in the world can't surpass getting information from a local. I feel extremely lucky to remain in touch with several previous hosts, and to get the chance to return to their homes or meet up with them in different countries.
