About Me
"Wherever you go, there you are."
I'm going through this process of discovery and becoming. You know. Just the normal state for late twenty something's. A few things about me that seem trivial, but have gone a deep way to shape me: tall, curly haired, avid book reader, only child, dancer. I delight in puppets, wind-up toys, flip books, and camp fires.
I get very excited about sharing ideas or brain storming projects with others. I want my life to be a dance over the whole world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet travelers and locals! This fall and winter I will be traveling with my boyfriend Zach to Europe for 6 months. Neither of us has done anything like this, and we are THRILLED and TERRIFIED. We plan to just "wing it."
Here is a rough itinerary:
September- Iceland
October- Ireland
November- Scotland
December- England
January: France
February: brief detours to Berlin/Prague/Amsterdam, then Italy
March: Croatia
We decided that we really care about digging into the local life of all theses countries. We are very happy to help out with work around the places that we are staying, cooking and cleaning. If you can't take us, we would love to meet up and have a tour of your city or area! We also love tips. Please, all the tips.
Interests
So varied! I want to try most every thing. I really love those activities that challenge the body through balance, like acro yoga, slack lining, uni cycling. I'm a collector of odds and ends I find on the street or the beach. I like to put the, together in interesting ways.
Social dancing, blues and fusion, is something I practice often. Guitar is something I want to practice more.
Storytelling is what I've always done. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music- Funk, blues, techno, indi rock, folk
Movies- I'll watch most anything. I'm not so much into horror, unless it's really really cheesy.
Books- I'm currently reading Women Who Run With the Wolves which is all about symbolism and wild woman archetypes and Jungian psychology. I also love fantasy (TERRY PRATCHETT!) and many young adult books. I love to read. If your passionate about a book, please tell me about it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
For work when I moved to Seattle WA, I was a Fairy Lead who would facilitate dress up and pretend adventures with kids, ages ranging 4 to 8. A mixture of dramatic fantasy play with crafting and creative movement. I'm pretty damn awesome with improving with kids.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach basic slack line or improv games
I'd love to learn different kinds of dances or languages
I can share a listening ear and a fun slap dash cooking style
Zach plays guitar and uke, and can share his music. He also knows SO MUCH about movies and video games. He has had several years of French, so could share that as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share with our hosts our eagerness and passion for learning. We are both very clean and tidy and respectful of others spaces, so we can share in the cleaning up and cooking. Both of us are actors, so we can share stories and songs.
I can show you how to make a found poem from a book page. We can offer our open hearts and love for adventure and travel.
