Hey, I'm Ashley! A friend told me about Couchsurfing and I thought I'd try it out. The whole concept is really awesome! I think it's an incredible idea to bring strangers together and build new friendships & community. I'd love to host when I have either a bigger couch or an extra bed, &/or roommates who want to as well.
I love to travel, despite being a poor college student working two jobs- just part of the reason I find Couchsurfing a brilliant idea :) So far, I've traveled to the Philippines, Canada, Bahamas, and most of the US (keep in mind I'm a poor college student). I'd love to travel across Europe, see the Northern Lights in Iceland, and hike in the Swiss Alps. My ultimate goal is to work overseas as a teacher in a third world country.

See aforementioned poor college student - working two jobs... also living in a small-ish Southern city, I don't always get the chance to interact with many other cultures/backgrounds/lifestyles/religions/etc. I'd love the opportunity to do that through Couchsurfing!

Besides traveling, I love reading, people watching, hiking (anything outdoors, really), drawing & painting(on occasion), watching movies, going to concerts, impulse road trips, napping, & fat, fluffy cats. This probably all sounds boring... it kind of is, which is also part of why I'm on Couchsurfing!
