Hi! I’m Ashley, I’m a PhD student in marine science focusing on sustainable coastal infrastructure design. My partner and I are taking time off this summer to travel to places on our “bucket list” - like Japan and Indonesia - and are moving to Delft in August 2019 when he will start as a masters student at TU Delft in the architecture school. We are an easy going, fun loving and adventurous couple hoping to make friends wherever we go. This is our first time Couchsurfing and we’re excited to meet up!

For the long term, I’m on Couchsurfing to meet new people and in the short term, to crash with willing hosts in or near Delft while my partner and I look for an apartment.

My all-time favorite band is Radiohead, but my favorite standalone album has to be In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel. I like others like The National, Alabama Shakes, Bon Iver, Arcade Fire, the Black Keys...open to anything really!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I picked up my life in the US June and am currently living in beautiful Bali! Love it here :)

I can share a love for making music - I’ve played the guitar since age 13. These days, I’m focused a lot on school...so in terms of teaching skills I can work in R pretty well...? Haha
