About Me

Partaking in the quest to be a genuinely loving person and simultaneously trying not to take life too seriously. I like to live as a sponge. Soaking it up without getting moldy.
I believe Cultural Exchanges are a gateway to more empathy. I believe empathy is a gateway to gratitude. And gratitude is the attitude!
I studied Psychology in college. After graduating college I spent a year volunteering and working on Cape Cod beaches and forests. I am about to move to Spain to improve my Spanish speaking, and help teach children English!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm moving to Madrid! Yo necesito practicar mi español mucho!
I received a job as an English teaching assistant. I will arrive in Madrid on January 2nd, and hope to have my own apartment by January 10th. I hope to couch surf with someone who will speak Spanish with me, show me good spots to do yoga, and cook with me!

Interests

Rock climbing, yoga, tea, rum ham, the outdoors, tasty beverages, people with weird collections and/or hobbies, veggies, foods that aren't gluten-free, making art, watching art, listening to art, genuinely nice humans, misadventures and wacky hijinks, body ink, and goats.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books- My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut. I am currently reading "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho

Movies/ tv shows- of course, I love Tarantino movies. Lately I find myself enjoying more stand up comediens and short sketch comedy. I enjoy Tim Robinson, Fred Armisen, Hasan Minhaj, Abbi Jacobson and Illana Glazer.

Music- always Tame Impala. I love classics like Simon and Garfunkel, George Harrison, etc. Recently I have been listening to a lot of Chicano Batman, Homeshake, and Jim James.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed outdoors for 24 hours straight for a climbing competition.
I also spent a month in the southernmost town on the globe, Puerto Williams in Chile of Navarino Island!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want the whole tourist shebang. Being around trees and bodies of water is preferred. I love going out for drinks, but am also content with sobriety!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can crack an egg open with one hand (can perform with both left and right hand). perhaps my skills will rub off on you.
We could possibly climb dependent on weather and location. If you have a harness, I have everything else needed for sport climbing!
I'm also a certified yoga instructor and am happy to share what I know/ learn more!

Countries I’ve Visited

Chile, Mexico
