Overview
About Me
I am married to my best friend: Aaron. We enjoy traveling and adventuring together. My life tends to revolve around my family, friends, my faith, and sports/hobbies. I enjoy a good conversation - the more philosophical the better, generally. I try (and usually succeed) to keep a positive outlook on life.
I thoroughly enjoy trying new experiences - generally, the more unusual the better.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always kind of been interested - the whimsical side of me showing through, I suppose. I like the philosophy behind it - being able to trust (with a healthy dose of realism) someone you haven't met yet enough to share a house and the experiences that go along with it.
Part of the drive is practical as well - avoiding expensive hotel stays, when visiting with a local to the area would be so much more pleasant anyway. Also, it helps me meet new people, that I might otherwise have had a difficult time meeting.
Interests
almost ANYTHING outdoors (who doesn't?). My top activities include rock climbing, biking, dancing (club-style or ballroom/swing), swimming, camping, fishing etc.
I have recently been exploring music - either through dance or drum circles or jam sessions.
I enjoy church (or alternative gathering of like-minded individuals). I am Christian, but I also really enjoy learning more about other people's faiths and how it impacts their lives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycled and camped from Campbell River, BC along the west coast to San Francisco. I opted not to swim with my bike, but rather take the ferries when necessary, hehehe....
Teach, Learn, Share
Nothing particularly formal. I like most conversations to be a fluid exchange and combination of teaching, learning and sharing. I
What I Can Share with Hosts
A bottle of wine (or alternate beverage of some sort), good conversation. Maybe a common interest or two...
But something that is unique? If there were something important on your mind, you just wanted to talk with someone (perhaps an objective third party observer), I make a pretty good listener. I enjoy hearing what is important to others, what is going on in their lives, decisions they are making or experiences they've had.
