Hello! I'm a hiker, photography hobbyist, yoga practitioner and mad scientist. Actually I'm a happy chemist, but mad scientist sounds cooler.

I caught the travel bug after I graduated with a degree in Microbiology. My promise to self was to see the west coast, so I packed up my car and zig-zagged across the country! The next promise was to visit a different country before I turned 30. I'm originally from Michigan and I had been missing snow, so I went to Iceland in the winter.

As an introvert I had to learn to get out of my shell when traveling alone. I love being out in nature and quiet places or reading a good novel. If you have any hiking recommendations, please let me know! I also enjoy horseback riding, scuba diving and staying up to watch the stars.
