I'm Ashley, born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I'm eager to learn about new cultures and see how people around the world live their lives. I recently graduated at Eastern Michigan University with a bachelors in Education. I'm an intervention specialist (special education teacher) at an Elementary school in Ohio and I absolutely love it! Kids are so full of life; I'm so honored to be such a huge part of my students lives. I taught English abroad in South Korea for six months and I fell in love with traveling ever since. I am very excited to announce that I will be volunteering on an organic farm in Hörby, Sweden at the end of July (2015)!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and getting to know natives from the cities and countries I visit, so couchsurfing just seemed like a great marriage of those two things. I love getting to know an area through the eyes of a local- Listening to their stories and visiting their local favorites is something you just can't buy.
