ABOUT ME

Ashley. 20. INTJ. I study linguistics, but I'm more interested in neurolinguistics, i.e. the brain's involvement in speech production and perception. I'm incredibly shy at first, but once you get to know me, I become very outgoing. I'm really sorry if I come off as standoffish, but really I'm just introverted and I keep to myself! I enjoy going places and doing things with new people and old friends alike. A cup of tea on the couch is always appreciated. :)

Reading, drawing, internet, comics, food, music, movies, TV. I used to play the violin and I'd love to pick it up again one day. Also piano and ukulele are pretty cool. I like learning new languages. Currently trying to improve my German.

I currently work as a research assistant in the phonetics lab and children's language acquisition lab at my university. If everything goes right, I'll be interning in Boston over summer. :)

I spent a few nights on the beach of the North Shore of O'ahu, Hawaii on a camping trip, under the stars (far away from any signs of civilization) with the sound of the crashing waves lulling me to sleep. And sand in my sleeping bag.
