PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy right now is still in the works. I have been doing a lot of reading lately to create some kind of philosophy for myself. I want to treat people fairly and try to help people where I am able. This world and everything in it is amazing and beautiful and fascinates me to no end. I'm not sure what else to say at this point but I am always open for philosophical debates...have been finding myself in a few of them lately!!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined couch surfers on the recommendation of friends who have used this site. I am really excited at the possibilities of meeting people from all over the world and establishing more international contacts. I think this is a fantastic way to travel, as you are receiving locals recommendations rather than whatever advertisements you come across in hostels, etc. I am definitely willing to open my home to fellow travelers, Edmonton is a great city and I would love to show it off!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not couch surfed yet but I have had the pleasure of hosting a few surfers! I am very excited to try surfing soon though since I have been the type to stay in hostels or camp during my travels. I am really excited to see who I meet along the way!

Interests

My interests are pretty broad, I love learning about everything. Traveling is a huge passion of mine, as well as meeting and learning about other people. I am big into snowboarding, I would like to eventually snowboard on every continent through my travels...so far New Zealand and North America are checked off. I visited My Buller in Australia, but there was no snow yet so couldn't ride...does that count??? haha

I am a really social person, love to go out and have a good time and experience the party scenes all over. That being said I also enjoy my downtime and am super chilled out.

I love reading and watching documentaries, and I've recently discovered my love for yoga. It has changed my life and now I am a dedicated yogi :)

Love music (esp. house, and indie...actually pretty much anything but new country music...old has a special place in my heart, having grown up on the Canadian prairies), what else?? festivals, hiking, camping, houseboating, running, bocce ball, science, beersbie...this list could go on for ages....

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm not a big movie person, but I enjoy the odd comedy or documentary. TV series that I appreciate are: Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, An Idiot Abroad, Extras, Chapelle's Show. That being said, I dont own a TV and really prefer to stay away from it...but these shows should give some idea about my sense of humour!!

I love house music...ministry of sound can usually be found playing in my headphones. Also big into indie, loving the triple j hot 100 of 2010 at the moment. If you dont know what that is google it and enjoy!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have had the opportunity to do is to travel through India with 2 of my best friends. Wow, what an amazing experience. There are just way too many hilarious/weird/gross/amazing/humbling stories to share here. This is actually one of my favourite topics of conversation I will save it to talk anyones ear off I meet through here!
