About Me

I'm Ash, there's not much to tell really. I like to travel and see new things, mainly just day to day life to be honest. I love different types of food, I have a major soft spot for sweet and Asian food (I.E; Malaysian, Thai, Indonesian,) Honestly, I'm like a dog, feed me once and I'll love you for life.

Unfortunately I can't verify my account because I'm poor and in all honesty, if you really want to see more of me...My full name ^ Right there....just look me up on Facebook.

Other info;
I'm a smoker, but I don't mind going outside to do so and
I'm a liberal douchebag.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couch surfing, because if I wanted to spend the day with a load of other Dutch people, I might as well stay in my home country. I actually love staying in people's homes to just get a glimpse of what day to day life looks like. It's nice to stay with people that know all the good places to be and everything that's going on.

Interests

I like to paint and draw, write, prose and poetry, read, sing and well the very obvious listening to music. On the other side I love cooking for people, especially dinners and such, going on little adventures, exploring cities and countries on my own or with friends.

I don't know why but I have the most fun in grocery stores. I know it sounds stupid but really, all you want to know a bout a country you'll find in a grocery store.

I love both indoor and out door activities; walks in the parks, museums, window shopping, hiking, camping, some sight seeing although I don't mind I if don't get to. Generally things that aren't expensive but still fun to do.

Finally, like all people in my country, I love to get drunk, not very often, but alcohol understands me. It's just a pity that now that I'm getting older, I'm actually getting hangovers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most of the books I've read are in Dutch, so I'm not sure if that's worth listing, but the thing I've read in English is The Picture Of Dorian Grey.

I don't have one favourite band specifically, I love a lot of things among which;
Electro/Dance/Euro-pop,
Black metal/Folk Metal,
Grunge,
Dubstep/techno/house,
punk,
'80 goth rock,
Industreal,
classical,
Ska,
And generally things that are so bad they're great.

I'm rather fond of European movies. Hollywood moves just too often seem too polished for me. That being said I still love horror.

The last movie I've seen was Maiko Haaaan!!! And other movies I love are; Pulp fiction, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Hannibal Lector (all three), Antichrist, Gooische Vrouwen, New Kids Turbo, Sauna, Fight Club, Alien (all three as well), Perfect Blue, Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers, LOTR, Ted, Simphsons The Movie, South park the movie, Wall-E and most if not all of the Disney Animated movies, both old and new

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing really, I've never seen anything I've done as 'Amazing', if anything it's amazing things other people have done for me to help me get to there I am today.

Currently I am working on a book, seeing as there were a lot of strange and funny things that have happened. I figured it would make a good story

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not a picky eater, nor am I a vegetarian. There's a few things I really don't like. (Mainly carrots, beets, red cabbage). I'm not easily offended and generally easy going. I'm not a picky sleeper, I found that I can actually sleep quite comfortably on just about every surface and I don't mind cooking and cleaning or helping out in the house.

I do impressions.
