About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do things that scare me, test me, teach me, and educate me, and to never stop adventuring!

ABOUT ME

...hmmm never like this one - lets go for a walk and talk about it?!
My interests are my passions, my passions are me. I'm just out to enjoy and protect this crazy beautiful planet of ours.

PHILOSOPHY

~I am who I am, and never claim perfection... I'm a work in progress... till the day I die... my idea of true success is to leave this world with a smile knowing ~ I came, I saw, and I conquered the ideas and dreams I made for myself as time went on, and to hope I made an impact on those around me along the way :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I actually haven't been on couch surfing in waaay too long!! I've been living in houses packed with people or desolate little places in the bush that are only accessible by kayak,
I am moving back to Nelson this winter though so I am looking forward to getting back into the couch surfing community.
I'm so excited to get back on here while I can! I look forward to returning the hospitality and being able to share our country with others as they have done for me - (on and off cs)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I 'officially' surfed my first couch in Denmark on my first overseas trip with my best friend Becky, ever since then it has proven to be responsible for so many great times and opportunities to meet some of the best people... definitely a fan of CS!

Interests

Can never stay away from the snow too long - would love to get out boarding wherever I am in the world.
Touring-ADVENTURING-OUTDOORS!!-anything and everything outside.. all the time... wildlife, wilderness, music, campfires, new people different insights, laughing till it hurts, learning as much as possible about this beautiful planet of ours and what we can do to help heal it. Trying something new - especially food, vino, craft beer. I'm up to try anything at least twice..! I hope I don't regret writing that :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is what makes the world go round.
Old rock ROCKS always will.period.
Nelson and the Kootenays in general has an amazing music scene and I really enjoyed the upbeat dance-all-night vibe of it all, and all the great festivals in the area. But have fortunately been introduced as well to a deeper love of Indie rock, Ska and Folk music. Anything live, unique. Pub bands, drum circles, spontaneous harmonica sesh's. Let's jam.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving - @#$%ing awesome!!!

On a whim planned a cycling tour through central-eastern Europe. İt was incredibly straining considering there was no training before hand, and I questioned my sanity on more then one occasion, but in the end it was all worth it. In total 8 countries = 2500 km's, starting in Berlin Germany and ending on the Croatian island of Mjlet where we were lucky enough to sell our bikes. There was so many places along the way you would never end up if traveling by bus or train, as well as so many people we never would have otherwise met... unbelievable.

The elephants in South Africa...

Hiking the West Coast Trail...

All of my school expeditions were incredible. Pushing myself, training and learning so much about myself and the outdoors was so rewarding...

Scuba diving on Utila in Honduras and Little Corn Island in Nicaragua was unreal.

hahaha just noticed after all this time it said "One thing" ...oops

Teach, Learn, Share

After years of procrastinating I have been spending some serious time learning to play guitar - well! I've always just 'played around' but now it's time to get down to business, any help with this is rewarded with a front row seat to my pure appreciation and joy! :)
I am desperate to speak Spanish fluently.. Anyone who speaks Spanish - please help me practice!

Countries I’ve Visited
