Hi there! I'm Ashley ☀️

I'm a very positive, open-minded, and easy-going person. You’ll often find me smiling or laughing! I just can’t help it ☺️ I'm learning a lot about life each and every day and loving it. I absolutely enjoy meeting new people and experiencing other cultures! Whether it be food, languages, music, etc. The world is full of so many opportunities and I just want to seize as many as I can.

NOTE: I currently work from my laptop 👩‍💻and thus have a typical workweek schedule. However, I only have a few short video calls each week which is great! WIFI is a must though. I can probably work from cafes or coworking spaces too, but I hope my host won't mind if I did some of it at the residence too! Please let me know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's a wonderful thing when the world opens itself up to you through generous, kind-hearted people who are willing to take the time to meet you and even house you! It's amazing, and I couldn't help but want to be a part of that :) I love meeting new people and want to become a part of this generous community and hopefully pay it forward someday.

Music: All kinds! But lean more heavily on pop, house, EDM, and afro music. Pretty much anything you can dance to!

Movies: A little bit of everything! But some favorites are Shrek, Lord of the Rings series, 50 First Dates, Snatch, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Angel’s Landing hike in Zion National Park (trying to get rid of my fear of heights! 😬). Taught English in China when the pandemic broke out. Worked at Disney World as a Safari Guide! 🐘🦁🦩🦓 Traveled in a van around Japan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help teach English, share travel stories, and bring an all around positive vibe/spirit to the overall atmosphere.

I’m learning French too (currently at an intermediate level). I'd also love to play or teach some board games or card games if you'd like! 🃏🎲♟️😄

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help cook, clean, help take care of animals or offer lots of games ideas (I love board games and card games!). I love sharing stories, or even just a cup a coffee :)
