This is so strange, I feel like I'm on a dating website...I guess I see myself as an enthusiastic and generous person who loves nothing more than meeting new people who share a good sense of humour. I'm fairly inquisitive, and would probably rather ask questions than answer them...Unless we were talking about music or movies...
The ocean and my cats are pretty important to me. I guess coffee and tea are as well.

Oh God...Where to begin...I listen to a lot of Neil Young, John Fahey, Michael Hurley, really into all the American folk anthologies, Sam Cooke, The Smiths, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Erik Satie, Judee Sill, Bill Fay,Joy Division, New Order, Pavement, Sonic Youth, Joanna Newsom, Deerhunter, Destroyer, The Knife, Modern Lovers, Bill Callahan, The Cramps, some jazz, The Feelies, The Pixies, Brian Eno, The Chiffons/Shangri las/Crystals, Beach House, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, George Harrison,Velvet Underground, Patti Smith, Van Morrison, and some 90's hip hop. Indulgences include Beyonce, Bright Eyes and Cat Power. Sorry, that's obnoxiously long winded...Movies...Herzog, Truffaut, Louis Malle, Robert Altman, Ingmar Bergman, Woody Allen, Scorcese, Godard, Kubrick, Lars Von Trier...I also love most Chevy Chase movies and Little Murders is maybe my favourite movie. Ooohhh! And movies about dancing!Books... Raymond Carver, Italo Calvino, Borges, Georges Bataille, Michel Houellebecq, Don DeLillo, Virginia Woolf.

I've completed an apprenticeship in Herbalism and am very passionate about holistic health practices and the use of herbs for medicinal and therapeutic purposes. I strongly believe in being accountable for your own emotional/physical health and well being...No doctor knows you better than yourself...It devastates me to witness our healthcare system's lack of focus on preventative care and continual disempowerment of the individual as their own best healer...I'm not disregarding our need for allopathic practitioners, but hoping the emphasis will one day shift to treating the cause and not the disease.
