Overview
About Me
Well... I'm Ashley.
I'm currently traveling the world, spending 2017 in New Zealand and then who knows where!
I'm kind of all over the place, I usually can't keep up with myself. I have all these ideas, I just need to write them down or they get lost.
I go from periods of wanting to just veg out and play video games to wanting to just hike for weeks.
I'm very open to new things.
I work in the hospitality industry and come across many people each day from all walks of life.
I pretty much always have music playing somewhere.
I love yoga and nature, they keep me healthy and happy. I love the farmers market and book stores, I could literally spend all day in either of those places.
Um.. I think that's enough...
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in respecting everyone and everything. I try to live a sustainable life to the best of my ability. I love supporting local businesses and being part of a community.
I believe in building people up and being open to new experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new and interesting people all around the world. Also to share my experiences as they come.
I've couchsurfered once in Auckland so far and thoroughly enjoyed it, with the actual website but I've stayed with people I've met in LA and Sedona. I love the local experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm open to most things but I am a die hard chick flick lover.... don't judge.
I love fantasy books including The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings trilogy and all of the Harry Potter books. I really enjoy Charlotte Bronte and Jane Austin.
As far as music goes, I love it. I can appreciate most music and find something from nearly every genre. I love music festivals and live music especially.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent an entire week camping along the ocean in BC to scope out some of Canada's most amazing trees, including "Canada's Gnarliest Tree", "San Juan Spruce: The second largest Spruce tree in the world" and "Red Creek Fur: Largest Douglas Fur tree in the world". This was the most amazing and wonderful week I have ever spent in my life. The peacefulness along the beach being so secluded you could see every single star in the sky at night. I stumbled upon thousands of tiny frogs that were the size of my thumb nail, climbed mountains, crawled over trees that were 100+ years old and drove a Cadillac up a terrifying logging road up a mountain to see the Douglas Fur. BC is an absolutely beautiful place to be and really opens you up spiritually, it was just such an uplifting experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am not the best archer but I can definitely introduce you to people who are. Archery is a pass time I very much enjoy. I'm talking medieval style with a wooden recurve bow.
I can show you how to make your own jewelry!
I am a great tour guide. I love my city and would be happy to help you explore it.
I love learning new things! I don't always stick to it, but just learning about it is very exciting!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking and am more than happy to open a bottle of wine and cook a good meal with you.
I can share my experiences and hopefully give you a good laugh!
