I'm smart, feisty and incredibly goofy and I am not afraid to share my opinions or let my inner dork shine. In my free time, I try to get out of Des Moines as frequently as possible!!!

I dabble in a lot of things without focusing too much on one particular hobby. I'm very active in the non-profit, political world and I road trip with friends frequently.

Recently, I tried my hand at wilderness backpacking. It killed my poor old lady feet, but it was fun and I met a lot of cool people!

I don't want to sound like every other stereotypical couchsurfer on here, but I LOVE the opportunity to go new places and meet really cool people. I also don't roll in the dough, so finding free or affordable accommodations is a MUST ;)

Travel should be something accessible to anyone and everyone. It is one of the greatest ways to connect with other people and share experiences. The biggest thing that gets in the way for a lot of people is money. So if I can offer you the option to crash on my loveseat, and you're willing to loan me your floor, by all means, let's do it :)

This past August 2016, I went skydiving for the first time.

Spring 2015 I somewhat impulsively quit my cushy corporate cube job, gave up my rental and traveled halfway across the country to hike a section of the Appalachian Trail in efforts to:
A) Escape my hometown and mundane existence
B) Inject some adventure in my life
and
C) Chase tail.
