Overview
About Me
I'm a 23 year old student from Salento, which is like paradise here in the South of Italy. I love travelling and learning about different cultures, new languages and especially FOOD. Yes I have a great passion for food, dispite I am vegetarian (you may think I eat less than you but you're wrong ;D)!
I love music, I play the piano since I was 2 as an autodidact, and then I've learned a little bit of guitar and singing.
Pets have always been part of my life, though when I was a child I didn't really know how to treat them. Now I'm a proud animal activist, I take care of my pets treating them as the most pure living beings and I've got three cats in my house, the oldest one coming from my father's countryside, and the other two rescued from the streets. In my backyard every cat or dog can eat and drink :)
I love nature in its entirety, I'm a science freak when it comes to this, but I also have a hidden scout soul. I can adapt myself to different situations, if someone can teach me how.
Painting is my ideal job, travelling is my ideal lifestyle.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I'd like to find places to stay while I'm travelling. This is not just a cheaper way, but also the best one to get to know people, their cultures, to speak their language and to share my own culture too. I'd love to cook Italian food for my hosts, to teach them some of the funniest words in my language, to be guided through the town to see the most hidden places and though I cannot host in my house, I'd love to share the secrets of my town with other people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love everything about music, I just can list some of my favorite artists but there are so many songs that I love, not included in any kind of list. I love especially happy music, that kind you listen to when you're travelling or that you sing while grilling at the beach. But I have a big space in my heart for relaxing music too, and sometimes I need a little more energy, or maybe sad music, and other times I really put on a musical in my house. Hannah Montana, Demi Lovato, and Mamma mia!, Glee.. I know almost every song. Right, I'm a normal person.
My most played are: Sea Oleena, Linkin Park, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Avril Lavigne, Lana Del Rey, Paramore, Mellow Mood, Bob Marley, Lykke Li, Walk Off The Earth, Ed Sheeran, Ludovico Einaudi, Yiruma, Yann Tiersen.
I don't read much, but I bet that if I did, my favorite series would still be Harry Potter. Harry Potter is also my favorite series of movies, and I also love fantasy and science fiction: Interstellar, Inception, X-Men. I like crime series too, my favorite ones are Bones and Sherlock, and obviously musicals (the bestest Mamma Mia!) and then.. who doesn't like funny movies?
I'll give a special mention to some of my favorite visual artists. Ivan Aivazovsky with his wonderful paintings of the sea, Gabriel Picolo with his cute dramas, Morgan Davidson for the brilliant colors and awesome precision, Jongkie for introducing me to watercolors, and Destiny Blue with her deep glowing soul. These are only a few of a thousand I thank for what I've learned.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing is such a subjective feeling. I think I've done a lot of amazing things in my life, starting from the day I left home alone when I was 14, to travel to Portugal for one month with 14 other guys I didn't know. It was just a game when I submitted my application for the project, in my first year in high school.. they'd never choose me because I was too young! Then after a couple of months, school told me that I'd leave a week later. I had only a week to pack all my things and stay away for one month, and I didn't know anyone of the other travellers, they were all older than me! I was so excited and this was the first great experience of my life, I even got the best grade at the final exam in Portuguese language, and I came back speaking Portuguese with anyone.
Now I can't speak it anymore, but I'd like to learn it again.
From that time on, I started travelling abroad as much as I could, I spent two weeks in Reading, in the UK, and then three other weeks in London with my school; I've been three times in Germany, in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt, and I've been in Greece when I was 5 but I totally have to go there again.
But there's a more recent amazing experience I've done. At the end of last summer, my boyfriend and I decided to spend 3 days in Basilicata, a beautiful region here in Italy, and we went with only a tent and our backpacks. My boyfriend is a scout, so he showed me how to survive in a hood and it was magical. This is the way of travelling I love the most, though it is the hardest!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am not an expert but I can cook, and I am good with cakes and pies :) Then I can play guitar more or less, so I can teach my hosts some Italian songs to play together (do you know Adriano Celentano and the Sud Sound System? :D). I can also clean up the house if needed, or take care of dogs and cats.
