Resumen
Sobre mí
HELLO THERE!
About me? Where to begin?
Who am I? I ask myself this question all the time. The first thing that comes to my mind is always "24601" (or rather: TWO FOUR SIX OH ONEEEE) although that says nothing about me except maybe that I like musicals and Les Mis is one of those that I happen to like.
That's only one small part of me though. There are lots of other things that make up me because I am, just like everyone else, a complex, complicated human being! This book that I am currently reading, 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami, has a really nice line about never being able to fully understand the complexity of humans, especially as they react differently in different contexts. So now you know that I also like reading! And perhaps less obviously you might realize that I also am really interested in PEOPLE and getting to know their beautiful lives and stories and complications :D
Ok if we do get the privilege of having our paths cross I am sure you will find out way more "about me" than I can ever write in this small box, and I look forward to that day.
OH BUT ALSO THIS IS INTEGRAL: I LOVE NATURE!!!! Hahaha. As a girl who has grown up in the city, nature is so so special to me and makes my heart expand, and I will always for my entire life be searching for nature.
Oh heck and while we're at it: I also believe fundamentally in kindness and compassion.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING IS MY DREAM.
Actually though. Couchsurfing is one of the most CRAZY AWESOME AMAZING ideas ever and to be able to actually do something like this - MEET A COMPLETE STRANGER and have the privilege to SHARE in their way of life, even if just for a while - would be to fill a certain part of my soul that is longing for something that I don't quite know yet. I don't know what the experience will be like but I know that it will be an EXPERIENCE.
Human connection is a wonderful thing!
Let me learn from you! :D
Intereses
I love cooking and making food!! It's one of those things where I can really get into that FLOW state of mind and time moves differently. I love cooking food and sharing food - food in my culture says a lot of things, and one big thing it says is LOVE and community. I live to eat!
I also recently started drawing comics as a way to communicate my personal experiences with others. I feel like sharing our stories is one of the key ways people connect with one another and I am interested in sharing stories and receiving stories and learning from stories.

Música, películas y libros
MUSIC
You know those songs you put on - and suddenly you feel electrified and full of power and you become alive??
Once I was on a very long plane ride and was scrolling through the music section. I listened to the Velvet Underground because I had heard of them and they were supposed to be cool and all but my reaction was sort of just "ok". And then I found this little band called Van Halen and when I put them on I went from "ok" to HELLLL YEAHHHHH and yes I love punk rock, alternate rock, punk, rock AND also musicals. Phantom of the Opera and also Avenue Q are my favourites.
MOVIES
GOOD ONES! Hahaha.
I feel like my bar for a "good" movie keeps getting raised though and that is something I am struggling with - would appreciate advice if you have any! For instance whenever I watch movies now I tend to notice if women and minorities aren't represented/are stereotyped and that stops me from really fullyyyy enjoying the movie. BUT I still enjoy movies for their magical transportive qualities.
BOOOOKS
I am so happy that I have more time to read now that I am on exchange because reading is such a wonderful, intimate pleasure!!!
I only just discovered Haruki Murakami and he is amazing. Such mesmerizing writing, books you can't put down, internal emotional descriptions that serve as a window into a human being...though fictional.
Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman are also wonderful.
I also like to try reading things that can help me learn about a place I know nothing about and to that end I am currently reading The Bookseller of Kabul.
