About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find what makes me more alive :)

ABOUT ME

This is such a subjective question. This would really depend on which of my

best friends you would ask. I think you would get quite a range of

descriptions. I am a multidimensional person.
All around the board though, my friends would say that I am an amazing cook.

I can definitely please the palate. I think that everyone would also agree

that I am quite sensitive. I am caring and mindful of the people that are

around me, regardless of how well I know them. I am known as 'the mother' in

a group. They would also say that I am childish and have a good sense of

humor. I am a dirty joker, and that I laugh the hardest at my own jokes. I

am easy to get along with, it is difficult to set me off or make me angry. I

have never fought with any of my best friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Just as we all are, I am trying to find what is best for myself and others in each and every day. Trying to find a balance between heart and head, comfort and adventure, love and lust... I am happy to be alive, with all of the ups and downs :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been to a couch surfing event, and have met a few people from couch surfing, but I have never surfed or hosted. I am on my first solo journey now, and am hoping couch surf along the way.

Interests

I'm a sucker for good beer. Seriously missing 'La Fin Du Monde' back at

home. However, I have found a few German beers that are catching up. I am

interested in cooking and preparing vegetarian food, especially raw food. I

was a strict raw foodist for half a year, and it has definitely become a

passion. I will be traveling to Hawaii in the summer to teach a raw food

seminar at a friends retreat. I love drawing and painting, and I just

started to learn to play guitar. Introspection.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favourite memories is of an experience that I can remember having

a "psychic connection". I am not by any means psychic, so this experience

shook me in my boots!
I had been reading a book about spirituality, and had been suggested to do a

meditation that involves imagining a glowing light around my body. While

relaxing, resting my head on my boyfriends chest, I found myself visualizing

our two bodies afloat in the universe, with a globe of light around us. I

was able to visualize this so clearly, and without interruption from my

overactive mind. I was brought out of my state of serenity when my boyfriend

spoke to tell me that he could see our 'auras'. This is not something that

had ever happened for either of us, and will always stand with me as an

unexplainable experience.

I have been staying at a Kibbutz in the southern Negev Desert of Israel. It

is a lush oasis in the middle of the desert. From Sunday to Friday evening

we are not allowed to leave the grounds of the Kibbutz, because there is a

military firing range just outside of the parameter. On Shabbat, the

military does not practice, and the territory is ours to explore. We are

surrounded by desert "mountains", which are more like hills, but to me,

someone who has never done any climbing, they are mountains. I had my heart

set on climbing the biggest one I could find, so that I can look over the

Kibbutz and watch the sunset. I wanted to do this on my own, regardless of

the dangers of falling without anyone there to assist me. There is something

so tranquil about the desert in the evening. Climbing with company would not

suffice. I had to do it on my own. And so, I did. I climbed to the top of

the mountain, a little bit of a trek, and enjoyed the view of the Jordanian

mountains, and the Kibbutz that I had called home for weeks at sunset. It

was absolutely breathtaking.
