About Me

I am a 21 year old, fresh out of college. I have grown up in Kolkata (East India) and love living away from home and with friends. Like your average Libran, I am really confused about everything! Wish to travel a lot and make friends all over the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning a trip across Holland, France and Spain in July this year with my school friends (see profile picture)! This is going to be my first trip abroad and I want to make the best of it. I think couchsurfing is a one of a kind experience. It is a great way to meet the locals and experience the place like them. I cannot wait to try it in Barcelona :)

Interests

I love/live to eat. Being a vegetarian restricts my options a little bit :( Nevertheless I love trying new cuisines and eating in different places. I love travelling with friends and have taken a lot of road trips across India. I dig live comedy and recently went for a Russell Peters show and strikes that off my bucket list!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Coldplay is my favouriteee band. I would see a kidney to watch them perform live (Not even kidding)

Movies: I have grown up watching Bollywood movies (yes, the ones with all the songs and the dancing!) I remember loving ''Gone Girl'', ''The devil wears prada'', ''Hangover'', etc. I am more of a sitcom person and am hooked to Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Friends and the Vampire Diaries!

Books: I have read a lot of chick-lit novels growing up. Meg Cabot and Julia Quinn are winners. Sidney Sheldon's ''If Tomorrow Comes'', Khaled Hosseini's ''Thousand Splendid Suns'', and Jodi Picoult's ''My Sisters's Keeper'' are amongst my favourite novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bungee jumping in Rishikesh was an exhilerating experience for me- never felt anything like that before! Also, this Europe trip is something that I saved for, so I think thats amazing too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Most people who have never been to India are very intrigued bu our culture and lifestyle. I have traveled extensively across India and have lived in three cities here. So I think I can share a lot with my hosts in this context- even teach them how to whip up our famous curries!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bhutan, Nepal
