About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn what I must to be a better doctor!

ABOUT ME

I am a free spirit, generally easy to get along with, laid back, and I love to have fun, whether it's traveling, hanging out, wandering, whatever. I am a Christian, but perhaps that should wait till my personal philosophy. I love getting to know people, even though I might be a little shy at first.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a Christian, and I do my best to live as a follower of Christ and a child of God. He is my reason for living. It is my own personal philosophy, and while I am more than willing to discuss it, I will not in any way try to push it on anyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment all I can do is offer my couch. I don't have much opportunity for traveling at the moment!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only surfed, so far. During Christmas break of 2008 I stayed with Martijn in Haarlem, Netherlands with two of my friends, Carly and Laura, and we had a wonderful time! Martijn was a very gracious host, and did a wonderful job of showing us around both Haarlem and Amsterdam.

I also did a lot of couchsurfing over Spring Break of 2009 - Turkey, Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Germany, Netherlands, and Belgium. All incredible experiences, and I have been completely floored by the kindness shown to my friend and I as we traveled. I am so grateful to everyone who hosted us throughout our travels, and I cannot even begin to explain how much their generosity meant to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to an evensong at Westminster Abbey recently and it was the most amazing experience of my life. The choir sounded so wonderful I wanted to cry! It is really something you should go to if you ever have the opportunity!

Teach, Learn, Share

Even if you look back later and decide you made some stupid decisions, take some risks. Trust someone for a change. Travel. Give people a chance to show you that they are truly wonderful. There is a lot that is wrong with this world, but I recommend that you go out and find for yourself. Among all the crime and terrible deeds, you will find those who open up their homes and hearts to you, only hoping to be a blessing to you. So take a risk, and let the world show you what it's got.
