ABOUT ME

Hello! I am a 21 year old dance-addicted law student! I am on exchange in Denmark for 2011 and so far have loved every minute of it. I grew up in Malaysia and then in New Zealand, so I have a diverse concept of 'home' :) I absolutely love travelling and immersing myself in different cultures! I have no qualms about feeling foreign, though I do love learning languages and seem to manage to settle in pretty quickly wherever I end up! Mostly I just love meeting people and experiencing the world through different eyes.

PHILOSOPHY

Be excellent to each other - basically just do unto others what you'd have them do unto you :) Life is too short not to enjoy every day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm pretty new to couchsurfing and so far I've only surfed one couch (in Lisbon) and had a really amazing time! For this year I will be surfing couches, then once I am back in NZ I will be opening my couch to surfers around the world - I really can't wait to repay the kindness I have received so far :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The only one I've had so far was absolutely fantastic!! Cooked good food, danced awesome dances, sang songs, told ridiculous stories, went out, hung out, and just enjoyed each others' company and felt really at home in a completely new country! It was so positive that I really can't wait to do more couchsurfing, and am also considering going back to Lisbon because the couchsurfing experience really made Lisbon one of the best travels I have had so far :)

Interests

I love dancing - ballet, contemporary, salsa, hip hop, jazz, everything! It's absolutely my passion! I'm just studying law in the mean time... :) Music is also a big hobby, as I learnt many instruments growing up so listening to, making, and analysing music is something I have always loved. I'm also open to just about every genre imaginable (from Britney to death metal)..
Generally, I love good friends, sunny days, picnics, bike rides, hikes, camping, and cups of tea.

Simplest pancake recipe EVER:
1 cup flour
1 cup milk (or more depending on how thick you want them)
1 egg
1/8 tsp salt.

Done! Tastes best with lemon juice and sugar. Great after a night of partying, tastes better when shared with friends :)
