ABOUT ME

My names ash, I'm 21 years old I've been traveling for, I think three years now and I've loved every minute of it. My motto in life is 'Live, Laugh and Love'! 'live' only for the moment, 'laugh' because it suits you and 'love' cos life's to short to hate! i like to live by this. I travel solo but I'm never really alone, I'm forever meeting amazing people and I'm a really lucky person. I've traveled Europe for around 5 or 6 months and had an amazing time. My latest trip has been around Australia, although this time i wasn't hitchhiking, instead me and my very close friend towed a caravan and we had an amazing dog and a cat that traveled with us, who made the trip all the more fun. I'm a free spirit and always up for having fun so make sure you contact me if you're in Wollongong!!!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think i would change anything about my life. I'm so strong in who i am. i believe and have witnessed first hand that 10 minutes with someone and you could have a whole new view on life. I don't hate a lot of things but pollution is definitely one of them. i think really positive and my results from that are always good.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

the first host i stayed with was in Krakow, Bartek was one of the most loving people you could ever meet and at his place i met dozens of people including an amazing girl who i ended up hitchhiking to Croatia with to see the most powerful waterfall I've ever seen in my life. there was so many different personalities staying at his house but we were all able to connect for one reason,we all love to travel!

Interests

The earth, i think it holds a special energy. Traveling, it's the best education anyone could ever have. i love hitchhiking and camping, bushwalking and the surf. I'm into anything new and exciting. I love not knowing whats gonna happen next. Life interests me, that and i love guitar, juggling, dancing, laughing, singing, swimming, walking, hoping, skipping. i love everything about the ocean, the smell the sound the feeling the waves the animals, i love that their is a whole different world under the ocean that i can't wait to explore and i wanna know everything about it EVERYTHING!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really watch to much tv or movies but one movie i really love is 'Alice's Restaurant'...( I'm a huge fan of Arlo Guthrie)!!! which brings me to music (my dad being a huge influence on me) i love music from the 60's early 70's. Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Arlo Guthrie, Janis Joplin, Chuck Berry, Rolf Harris. i love The Easybeats, The Turtles,The Beatles, Beach Boys, RollingStones, Mammas and Pappas, The Monkees, the troggs, The Kinks, Blondie Oh lord i could go on forever, i've also, just recently been introduced to sy Trance. In saying all that i can listen to any type of music ragge and jazz and love it and if i had the choice between music, telly or a book it would almost every time be music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I toured around england and Germany with my dad on his motorbike once i left my dad i hitchhiked Spain and Portugal with all different people, did some amazing things on the way. e.g Boom festival and the Tomato throwing festival and then i hitchhiked with a Brazilian girl from Poland all the way down to Croatia only to see the most powerful waterfall i have ever seen in my life.
i climbed mountain and trees, swam naked in seas. I've seen the sun rise on 10,000 beautiful people all dancing with the orange glow of the sun on all their faces, it's something I'll never forget!
i spent a couple of weeks in a forest in Portugal learning about yoga meditation and breathing exercises while helping with the gardening. I've walked at night through a forest with the full moon as our only light.
I've come face to face with a wild boar the size of a deer. I could go on forever, we've gotta meet to learn more :-)
I feel like i just wrote a song, it sounds so poetic :-)
