ABOUT ME
Some of me is a deeper dreamer, some a silly romantic , some a competitive, analytical, workaholic who loves his work .. some parts a troublemaker .. definitely an artist in there too .. nature inspires and bends my mind... i enjoy seclusion and immersion into my own imagination and then head out to mingle and dance with people i love
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think I spent a long time being a rather selfish guy and then realized one day that all the best stuff that happened to me was probably because it was shared with other people .. couchsurfing is such a humanity-positive idea and part of an emerging lifestyle which is very needed on this messed up planet of ours. One small step at a time out of the darkness ...
Interests
Cultures and sub-cultures; from tribes and hidden indigenous people in the forgotten corners of the world (my respect goes out to them) to mainstream behaviors and lives across the world, and especially the emerging cultures created by the collision of technology and global people in urban environments. I am fascinated by both the new and the old, the fast and the gentle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
(This list is outdated by around 10 years! I seriously need to sit down over a weekend and go back in time in the last decade to find those 'most' magical moments - so many .. seeing the northern lights in Finland, for example.. ah! )
Relished 'ant pickle' with a remote Indian tribal community, taken with flower-made alcohol. Talk of flower power!
Ran a race down gravelly sand dunes in Ladakh under a large midnight moon. (Didn't win :)
Kayaked in the gorgeously dark river Kali in the Indian state of Karnataka.
Climbed the mammoth rock 'pillar' of the demon king Hiranyakashupu, in the pilgrimage town of Ahobilam, South India.
Did a flotation tank experience on Venice Beach, California! Freakin' awesome stuff!
Teach, Learn, Share
(Again, dated by 10 years or so .... )
I think I have some interesting views on interpreting Indian religion, philosophy and culture. I am equally drawn to systems of thought that are transcendental of the human condition, but at the same time committed to understanding solid everyday things like economics, politics and technology. I learn by experience and sharing.
I love photography and storytelling. Lets talk!
