I am currently taking a long break from CS to adjust back into life back in America and get my own space. :-( sorry

I'm just a simple but energetic person who is trying to make the most out of life. I had been teaching and studying in Shenzhen, China for three years, living the good life and just hoping to travel the world in the meantime. Now, I am back home in Lansing, MI and taking a break from adventure to help out at home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling has become a big part of my life over the last year and a half or so and I can't get enough of it, but I also just enjoy meeting new people from all over the world. A year ago I hosted my first lovely couple from Switzerland and I was hooked with hosting too, so come by and see me or let me crash- either way, I'd love to meet you!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read, watch movies and television, and listen to music so much that it's hard to cut this down to an acceptable size. I'm currently on an Indie or Chinese music kick and have been taking a break from American television. For more info, come and talk about it with me! :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Caving in Vietnam, Tu Lan Cave with Oxalis Tours- absolutely stunning, and a little scary in the deep of the cave with the lights off :-0

AND tied with that now is a hiking trip I just took with my roommate Dre in Hong Kong. Super super foggy, but the waters were sparkling with algae, so we had a magical time drinking and dancing in the water and on the sand all night!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching and learning are what I've been doing, literally, but not just in the schools; I gain so much more from learning what other people have done, seen and accomplished than what I learn in a classroom. Come and share, please!
