ABOUT ME

I'm Ash. 25 year old lass from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I'm the eldest of four kids (five, if you count Tessa, the family dog), and have long been the 'go-to' girl for troubleshooting and errands in our household. We've always spoken English at my house.

My experience comes from the collective baby- and pet-sitting for family friends that I've done when they're off on trips. I can get you references, not a problem.

I have an LL.B (Law) degree from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and I've worked to support law firms in Kuala Lumpur. I proofread legal documents from time to time.

I used to teach Speech and Drama classes and workshops in International Schools, and now I'm a consultant in the line. I've also been working closely with welfare and social groups to bring the best out of kids.

I'm very comfortable with children and pets, with plenty of experience. I'm a nurturer by trade and by choice. So, besides my legal sensiblities, I have a keen sense of harmony and flow in my surroundings. Hence why I also dabble in art and design.

I'm neat, and a lover of cosy order. A necessity, really, when you work with children.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Let me explain it to you this way - I didn't want to stay in youth hostels. When I travel, I've always needed to know that the place I stay in has it's own personality that I can understand and respect. I like having a base. I grow to love my surroundings very much, and if there's nature around me, even better. Getting to know your animals will not only be a pleasure, they'd (bless them) help me accomodate to where I am. I'm very comfortable with children and pets, with plenty of experience. I'm a nurturer by trade and by choice. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm headed to the States this fall (Sept-Nov 2012) to attend a design workshop in New Hampshire, and I thought I'd do a little travelling cross-country and stay on 'till after the elections, as I've been following the Primaries from over here and find it fascinating, to say the least.
