Hi, I am a PhD student in London. I love to travel and meet people of different cultures. I have travelled a lot in India, and have seen some places in Canada and USA. I am excited about being so close to Europe for the next 4 years, and plan to see as much as I can!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet locals and learn about their language and culture. I believe it is a very different experience as compared to staying in a hostel, and gives a unique perspective of the place I am visiting.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Too many to type! I listen to many different genres, including but not restricted to Indian classical, Bollywood, rap, pop, Western classical, jazz, electronic rock etc. My current favorite is Indian fusion, featured
in Coke Studio by bands like Agam, and Bombay Dreams by AR Rahman. An all time favorite is the album The Listening by Lights.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one? Haha.

I lived in Vancouver, Canada for 2 years. One morning, I woke up and decided I would like to do the Grouse Grind, which is a 2.9-km trek of about 2800 steps up to Grouse mountain. It is considered highly challenging. I had not exercised for days. I just woke up and left on an empty stomach, without a water bottle, any food or even warm enough clothes. I had heard it requires some amount of physical preparationin order to be able to complete the trek. Well, I did it! I was completely dehydrated at the end of it, but it was well worth it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Trash jokes, lots of laughter and happiness! I can cook Indian food. I am quite a clean person. If you are bored, I have loads of stories and adventures to share. I also know and practise yoga and Bharatnatyam, an Indian classical dance.

Of course, I can give math tutorials.
