About Me

I'm a student currently planning a trip to Ireland - I'm taking my friend and we're gonna see all that we can in two weeks!

During the academic year I don't really get up to any fun stuff, I'm just a couch potato (ha!) and so I try to fix something up in the summer. This year it's gonna be Ireland.

I like travelling (as does probably anyone here), eating desserts, attempting to make desserts - though I mostly fail - and meeting other people who are passionate about something :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For us poor polish students, Ireland is very expensive. Like, extremely unaffordable. That's why we were going to go on bikes (well, apart from it being an awesome adventure) and that's also why I'm here. I need your help, people of Couchsurfing! The bikes didn't work out, unfortunately, due to health problems that came up the day before our flight :(

It would be amazing to find some good soul here who'd take us in for a night. We'd be happy to provide company, stories from our journey and whatever was needed for us all to have a good time.

When I move out to my own place, which I hope will happen in the next few years, I won't forget to spread good karma and give back what I got ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I recently read 'Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!'. It's something of an autobiography of a Nobel prize-winning physicist and waaay more fun than it sounds. I loved that book, even though it's super thick, it's a quick and easy read.

As for films - once I read up on the background of the story of Sharon Tate, I fell in love with 'Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood'! I won't say anymore, just that if you don't know what I'm talking about - I still recommend watching it first and then getting the history.

If you get to know me, you'll know I get very repetitive about my music, so I'll just say it here: Alt-J. Recommended from the very bottom of my bottomless heart.
Did you really read through this whole thing? Then I can also tell you to listen to Kwiat Jabłoni. It's all in Polish, but you'll like it ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Don't know if that counts, but once I fell off a horse straight under its hooves and it stood right in the middle of my stomach and kicked me a little in the pelvic bone. You can imagine how much it hurt. I kinda wasn't there for a moment, then heard someone screaming (like really going for it), then later realized it was me. It's a whole big story :) In the end, I had to get on that horse again just to ride back to where they could get a car to take me to a hospital.

I was compleeetely unharmed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I had two whole paragraphs about a funny exception in the Polish language, but after going through other people's accounts, I realized that something else should be here.

What I can teach you is to play some violin - but you have to have it, sorry! I can also talk your ear off about random facts to do with horses, the English language or other people I've met.

I'm happy to provide conversation, to learn something from you - even if it's just how to properly pronounce English words ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Naturally, I'll be happy to share stories, maybe over a pint ;)
If you had a problem to solve or needed to get something off your chest, I'd be ready to listen.
