ABOUT ME
I believe that we only get one life, so I try to see as much of the planet and meet as many of its people as possible during my short time here. I am on my fourth career, and while I love defending immigrants in court, I know that there are many more turns in my road.
Aside from work, I'm a car nut, a computer nerd, a wino and politically active (left of center).
PHILOSOPHY
A man without religion is like a fish without a bicycle
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far I've enjoyed four great couchsurfing experiences, in addition to the many spontaneous homestays I had in Japan and Korea before the days of the internet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I travel very frequently for court as I defend immigrants in deportation cases. Since immigration courts are often very far from a person's home, I find myself often in places like San Francisco, Phoenix, San Antonio and Atlanta. This used to be a chore, with boring hotel rooms and nobody to talk to, but since discovering CS I've met fascinating people, shared good food and better times.
My hosts have been terrific, and with any luck, some interesting people will find my profile when they cruise through Bakersfield.
