About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn as much as i can about anything, and everything.
ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa.
Studied in Houston, Texas, and now I relocate every few months for work. I currently work in a hospital laboratory as a Travel Medical Laboratory Scientist.
My ultimate goal is to work in animal welfare / public health back in South Africa but for now, I'm trying to learn, explore and see the world.
I love to exchange travel experiences and stories so even if you aren't looking for a place to stay, I'm always happy to meet up.
PHILOSOPHY
"I did not become a vegetarian for my health, I did it for the health of the chickens."
-Isaac Bashevis Singer
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When you stay in one place, your world gets very small, and every time I feel content, I meet someone new from another country or with another lifestyle and I realise how much more there is still to see and learn. This is why couchsurfing is so wonderul!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I Met two German girls in Mozambique in 2011 who couldn't say enough good things about their experiences couch surfing.
Had the opportunity to be a surfer for the first time in sabadell, spain in 2013 and it was wonderful, couldn't have asked for a better host! Highly recommend it to anyone.
Interests
Love to travel (obviously)- hitchhike, walk, hike and explore different countries. Read a lot, just took up bouldering/rock climbing but not any good yet. Avid hiker and amateur (I.e. bad) trail runner.
Can't stay in one place for very long because I get "itchy feet" traveler's syndrome every few months and try see somewhere new.
Love live music, good movies, meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything and everything depending on the day.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacked Namibia alone for two weeks - what an incredible country, stunning!
Also, co-organising a spay-a-thon in a township in Cape Town, where over 400 animals were sterilised. After a lot of planning, it was fantastic to have been able to see that completed.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about South Africa or my experiences learning about America; I can show you around or share veterinary stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Depending on my work schedule, I can show you around or let you do your own thing. I’m a terrible cook so I probably won’t offer you a home cooked meal (sorry!) but I’m happy to go out to eat and show you what I know about SLC. You would be welcome to cook and make yourself at home.
