About Me
ABOUT ME
I am Claire, in my late twenties, still studying and planning on doing that as long as I can ! I'm living and travelling with Adrien, who's a bit younger than me but doing the same studies and planning on the same future. We both want to meet the world but we are kind of handicapped in this task by our love for quiet life, the nose in our books...
We travel as we live : as a couple and as simply as possible. We don't like arguing for nothing, but we love to discuss of everything.
We spend most of our time thinking about what surrounds us, trying to understand the world and its diverse population, reflecting on what we do and the reasons underneath that, and of course about what way of life we want to choose.
We enjoy very concrete life also, and a lot. We want to learn about everything, even if we have a preference for the alternative initiatives, alternatives from the capitalist world and life.
We love partying as well ! And as proper Frenchies, we enjoy very much eating a good meal while sipping good beverages...
All is in the balance, but it's not always easy to make it right !
We want to experience it all !
PHILOSOPHY
Creating and inventing more than swallowing passively what others want us to.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've only been two times surfing, in Paris and in Pondicherry, and we loved the experience. One of the two is now a very good friend and we would love this kind of international relationship to expand.
Interests
Knowledge in all its way, by reading books, by meeting people, by walking around the world, by crossing points of views.
Discovering the world and its inhabitants. We are just at the beginning, but we are passionate about it !

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm (Claire) writing my master thesis on Cornelius Castoriadis, a greek-french author form the 20th century that has worked on a re-evaluation of the power of imagination in a possible social change, and of course I love it !
But also, I love litterature : André Breton, Aragon, Jean Lorrain, Dostoïevski, the Brönté sisters, James Joyce, Henry James, Agatha Christie... Just too much to remember all of them !
Music we enjoy very much too, a lot of different things either... But I particularly like blues, ethiopian blues makes me fly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We are presently living in Pondicherry, India, for one year through the Erasmus exchange program. India is pretty amazing so far !
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you french, maybe english, a few words of tamil and italian. I can teach you how to make delicious chocolate cakes or tarte Tatin. I can talk about French culture and actual social and political situation of my home country. I can talk also about how the world could be better, in my opinion, but I have a lot to learn in this matter also ! I can teach you to swim ! And to lie down on the beach for a long lazy afternoon. It's not that easy... I can teach a bit about philosophy history of course. Or how to handle several plates on one arm. I would love to learn about everything you would like to share with others : how to cook, how to take nice photos, how to grow vegetables, how to make your own energy, how to be self-sufficient, how to build a shack, or even better, a house, a small one, how to teach kids, how to age in happiness... Soooooo many things to learn from others !
