Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Trying, most days, to catch a fish
ABOUT ME
I am a bit eccentric, enjoy being outside, can not resist brightly colored balls of yarn or playing with musical instruments. I like to try new things and daydream about future epic adventures (if you have been to Africa, or have shredded NZ or Argentina, crash my couch, ride Fernie, and tell me all about it! )
I used to be obsessed with my drilling career and making money, then I decided to follow my heart, live in the moment, enjoy where I am and actually go for it when I get an "I wish I could ____" moment. No matter how crazy.
PHILOSOPHY
Do no harm, leave no trace, have no regrets.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like going out for tea in strange cities with people I just met. I tend to live in middle-of-nowhere places so I haven't hosted much since I came back to Canada, but look forward to meeting lots of cool people and opening up my home.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Heaps. Too much to fit into a little box, just enough to talk about over coffee.
Interests
Working outside, playing outside, camping, cycling, snowboarding, skiing (new this year) talking to cats, writing poetry, inflicting my poetry on unsuspecting audiences, crochet, jam nights, getting lost in strange cities, getting lost on BC back roads, drinking tea, googling strange fruits and vegetables then trying to cook them.

Music, Movies, and Books
Vincent Price movies, bike films, cold-war era horror films, your college roommate's budget horror films, outdoor magazines, central asian history, that play you're writing that you want to read from at Infinitea on a Saturday afternoon, graphic novels, cartoons, the tragically hip, the oddest folk music your country has to offer, bluegrass for chilling out, dubstep for driving a truck across the desert, and still in search of the world's worst travel memoir.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share
Can play banjo, guitar, violin, accordion, and piano. Can fix a bicycle or at least jerry-rig the thing so it will make it over the Himalayas. Will try to take you hiking. Learning Spanish. Always looking to learn new tricks on bikes and boards. I want to sleep in a snow cave.
