Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I plan on backpacking around Spain next year with my best friend.
This is my first trip abroad and I specifically chose Spain because I am simply intrigued with the beautiful Spanish culture.
I love the beautiful people, the language, the music, the dance, the food, the architecture, the movies....I can go on and on!
I am here to meet kind, beautiful, warmhearted people who can guide me throughout the city, and also host me if they wish (totally up to them). Also, to meet new, interesting people around the world and discuss different cultures.
Gracias (my Spanish isn't perfect yet, still learning) :)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Hahaha...This is hard! Ohk...so once I bought food for 3 underprivileged kids, who were begging on the streets for money. Me and my friend, we both felt pretty amazing after doing that! I'd done such a thing twice before and it always gives me this immense joy which can't be described in words. There's a different satisfaction that one gets from bringing a smile in someone's face....it's priceless and feels pretty amazing if you ask me!
Other than this...I've done a lot of other cool stuff and have had adventures....but everyone has them...nothing to brag about.
Also, I am only 19 and I have my whole life ahead of me to do amazing things in terms if going places and meeting interesting people....so there's nothing to brag about in that department. I am young, curious and enthusiastic...so let's hope for the best! :D
But I also believe that falling in love is a pretty amazing thing to do. I've been in love once; it didn't work out, unfortunately...but I have NO regrets! I am absolutely grateful that I got to experience such a wonderful feeling and strong emotion and have nothing but love for that person whom I fell for (well, there's a tiny bit of animosity, to be honest, very tiny). I loved being in love and wouldn't mind getting my heart broken again and again, just for the feeling of loving someone like crazy and being loved back in return. Love is a wonderful emotion and it's one of the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Well I can teach you my mother tongue i.e Bengali, also my national language Hindi, if you're interested.
I can also teach you Indian classical music or music, for that matter...again, only if you're interested :)
And I would love to learn anything interesting that you wanna teach me, especially if it's the Spanish language or anything related to the Spanish culture (I love it!) But I'm open to learn anything about your culture...
Share....well you tell me! What do you want me to share with you? I'd be happy to :)
I can share a few tips though if you're planning to visit Kolkata any time soon (or if it's in your bucket list). Here it goes-
Kolkata is an absolutely beautiful and stunning city! But the trick is that you won't find much exciting stuff if you just visit the landmarks and the tourist-y places. If you really wanna find the essence of Bengali culture, you need to explore those narrow, crowded lanes and by lanes (a lot of them are in North Calcutta) and travel in the public transports, of which the tram is a must!
Also, the best food in Kolkata is the street food. The street food here is pure gold! Don't miss out on that in the quest for getting a restaurant reservation.
The people here are very friendly and helpful. You just need to break the ice with them....once that's accomplished, leave it up to them to guide you in your tour or reaching your destination. Yes, there are some Mr Grumpy-ies too...so you just have to go with your gut and mix with the right kind of people. We Calcuttans love to gossip and have lively conversations (which we call "adda") and a new member is always welcome; so don't hesitate joining in (only if you understand the language though). Overall, you won't be disappointed with this City Of Joy :)
Hope I could help!
