ABOUT ME

I am 25 years young, lived and played in many places, love small towns and big cities, love to travel, plane, bus, car, back of motorcycles, walking next to donkies, backpack and an idea.

I work with a non-profit out of williamstown mass that prepares teams of volunteers to do development work in sub-sahara africa and south america. I've worked with troubled teens from europe, street kids and former child soldiers and future primary school teachers in angola, collected second hand clothing donations in the capitol of ny, stood on streets and handed out flyers and talked to rad people in many cities in the u.s. i've climbed mountians and big rocks in the north west, west, north east, alaska, africa. i take photos and draw pictures and write words and sing songs.

i am currently a Team Leader/Teacher/mentor, i feel i better embody the mentor. i oversea the preparation period and development of international volunteers prior to their work abroad. i essentially help them prepare for what awaits them; from the theoretical-cross cultural communications to the practicalities of acquiring a visa. my team will leave in august and i plan to travel and visit some of our new projects in south america and start a new team that i will personally take to brazil where we will focus on the vast gap between the rich and the poor, in the states as well as in latin america.

PHILOSOPHY

i live my life everyday, i don't live it yesterday or tomorrow, but i don't forget them either. "i never saw a wild thing sorry for itself"

it's better to do the wrong thing then nothing, (you can usually fix something later)

"do not make the mistake, common among the young that if you do not save the whole of mankind then you have failed" - i try not to make the mistake but i still try to save the whole of mankind. as in if i don't it's still okay (i didn't fail), and if i do, sweet.

remember why you love, someone, something, and when things are hard this will save you.

Interests

i love books and movies (they are both ways to experience stories,) and stories, i play the piano and guitar but can't read music (other then a hooked on phonics leve) , i love to work out and hike and dance (not very well but very enthusiastic (spelling) ) i love capoiera, (brazilian breakdance fighting) and judo and wrestling and futebol and ultimate frisbee. talking and coffee and tea and food, love food, and travleing and new people and friends.
