About Me

>>Currently in either Portugal or Morocco<<

CURRENT MISSION

Sights, sounds, tastes, touch, smells, emotions - they're all out there ready to be experienced.

ABOUT ME

I really don't like the idea of having to describe myself, it always feels so manufactured. People are changing constantly, we all are, until we accept that, we will all be trying to label ourselves. Dynamic emotions and feelings are what make us human and that's really beautiful.

You'll often catch me observing and smiling at my surroundings - which happens to be a favorite past-time of mine. I love traveling and being immersed in new cultures - I get lost in them easily.

I live life to experience. I strive to create the healthiest, most mutually beneficial relationships possible. I believe we are all connected and all deserve immense amounts of understanding and respect. I understand that everyone has a difficult life - empathy is key.

I also believe in "Kaizen" which is the idea of continuously challenging oneself in order to improve day after day. Even in the smallest of details, there are ways to improve oneself - not just in physical activity or exertion, but in thought processes and observational skills, too.

Happiness is a state of mind, not a result of outside forces. Happiness also comes from an active choice to be happy every day and seeing happiness and understanding in the world around you.

I try not to need things or objects. Materialism is a really difficult obstacle to overcome - understanding the difference between "need" and "want" is very important. It's always great to have certain things, but being willing to let them go when the time comes is equally as rewarding.

There's a quote I like, which I cannot attribute to anyone (because I don't know), but it goes like: "We were born too early to explore the Universe, too late to explore the Earth, so let us explore our minds." I do this through meditation, mindfulness and self-reflection.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books

I read mostly Sci-Fi, Existential/ Poetic, Fantasy, and Classics. Anything that can get me thinking in a new way, challenge my held beliefs, or take me away to a beautiful new landscape is welcome.

Movies

I don't watch too many movies, but I do love them. I like Star Wars a whole lot, but also enjoy many foreign films, and the occasional action flick.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- My brother and I traveled to a small fishing village by Naruto, Japan and stayed with a couple whose main income came from fishing. The husband woke us up at 5am, gave us boots, and brought us out on his boat. We fished for about two hours, catching hundreds of small herring and watching the sun rise over the foggy water. We took the fish back to land and cooked them for breakfast. It was a truly magnificent experience.

- I biked from Bruck an der Mur, Austria to Graz, Austria. To make a long story short: I got to Bruck an der Mur 2 hours later than expected, biked for an hour before it got dark, sang for a beer, slept in a train station, got up at 6am and biked 4 hours to Graz on the Murradweg through some of the most beautiful, picturesque scenery I have ever experienced in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's learn to Love everything around us and see the beauty in the grass, the trees, the clouds and mountains - in the air we breathe! Let's learn to appreciate every heart beat, every glance, and every step we take.

Breathing is so important.

Beliefs are just opinions we're too stubborn to let go of.
