About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Appreciate every day, and do more fun stuff!

ABOUT ME

I'm a laid-back California girl with a little New York edge. I was born and raised in the burbs of San Francisco - amazing place to grow up, but I never really appreciated it until I left. After starting college at BU (because college was just what you did after high school), I realized it wasn't for me, dropped out and moved to NY to go to acting school. After 5 years in NY, I found my way back to the warmer, less crowded coast. I love living in LA - the weather is amazing, and I've met a ton of great people!

I guess this could help prove that I'm a real person (because if you're not on the Gram, you probably don't exist): https://www.instagram.com/allamasamuels/

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others the way you want to be treated (unless you want to be treated badly, then do the opposite).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had a profile for a while, but never actually used couchsurfing. I love the idea though, and will definitely host when my living situation allows for it. In the meantime, would love to meet cool people while I travel.

Interests

I spend most of my time acting in class and trying to get jobs acting. It's tough, but I love it. I also have a slight candle addiction and I just started making candles, which is super fun. I love animals and I'm really lucky that I get to walk dogs for a living.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: a mix of guilty pleasure teen movies (can't hardly wait, the breakfast club, finding nemo - ok, children's movies), movies with incredible acting (the hours, sophie's choice, brokeback mountain, blue valentine) and classics (pulp fiction, fight club). are those considered classics?

Music: alternative, folk, pop, hip-hop, country (super patriotic and/or hilarious and/or heartfelt), jazz only when it's live, and other things. I never know how to categorize music. Some specifics: Muse, Amos Lee, Mumford and Sons, Under the Influence of Giants, Fink, Peter Bradley Adams.

Books: There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom, Native Son, A Wolf at the Table, a lot of Chuck Palahniuk, many plays. I should read more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running down the side of a mountain in the Pyrenees during a thunder storm! Then beer and a chocolate croissant in a tiny village at the bottom. Best day of the trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can juggle. I can try to teach you how to juggle. And if you already know how, I can teach you how to do a super fun trick with me!
